Sporty Unique Stools

A few months ago I run into an article that suggested readers order wheels on their stools, especially for the bar. After reading the article my gears started turning, and I thought about the idea of this particular piece of furniture with wheels.

It attracted my attention because of the way I have been writing my articles, as many of you know. Therefore I started pondering on this subject. I do consider this a very dangerous proposal. From my personal point of view that is. I do not mean to demean the writer, however. Also, I realize that everyone has their own ideas and choices.

As I have been endeavoring to inform you, the way stools are being built here in America, this does not make sense to me. This furniture has come a long way. Engineering has been involved to redesign stools and make them safer, for our families at home and the employees and customers in our businesses.

I have mentioned before how beautiful this furniture is now, and how very appealing they are. Stools are being used for dcor in homes and certain areas in our businesses. We have many fabrics to offer on the market, and also the metal finishing. This furniture is a very attractive and useful piece that is sought after in homes and businesses everywhere. They give those certain areas a very comfortable and cozy atmosphere. We all want our family, friends, customers, and coworkers to feel relaxed, and enjoy a few moments together. More particularly, we want them to be safe sitting on our stools.

I feel we writers have a responsibility, and need to be careful when counseling consumers. This is from the point of view of someone who has worked for many years in the engineering field, having participated on many safety boards.

I am hoping that consumers are reading my articles, for I believe that they offer some good advice. Now let us get back to the idea of having wheels on our stools, like it was mentioned for bar stools. From the point of view of safety, it is not recommended, especially in a bar area or lounge area. I think it is obvious why it would not be such a good choice.

I have created this slogan "wheels and alcohol do not mix, and are a recipe for disaster." Then we are asking for liabilities in homes and businesses. This is not a good idea to have problems like these.

We must be aware of certain rules of safety at home or at work. If we are in the market to buy stools, keep these things in mind:

Safety of the stools Styles Fabrics Metal finishing Home or business decors.

As you follow these points (keeping safety in mind especially), you will be very happy to go and search for your special stools. On the web we have much to offer you, the consumer. You can order these as to your particular preferences.

Once again ladies and Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to write to you. I am hoping you understand my advice, and are able to choose the right stool for your favorite place. Come and visit our website at www.sportyuniquestools.com

Let me remind you again: "this is solely the opinion of the writer and as any article you may use this information as you wish, but the whole intention behind these articles is to help the consumer to make the right decision."

Good points, I could see the drunks trying to get on the stool and the stool roll away. I would say a lawsuit would come out of this.

Jose...fun article.  Thanks for posting this.  Years ago I used a stool with wheels on occasion and it was was not safe.  So I agree.  I seem to recall that they were fairly prevalent actually.   I certainly wouldn't use one today.  I have enough to handle with my desk chair on wheels.

I think stools with wheels is a novel idea, and dangerous though as it may seem, it may have some very useful applications.... As long as safety precautions are observed. Perhaps the stool should have some hand-grips. But as long as the stool itself is not prone to tip-over, it should be okay. Otherwise we should also call for a ban on bicycle, unicycles, motorcycles, and wheelchairs.

There are so many "dangerous" things in this world, but nothing gets banned. McDonalds hamburgers are not healthy but they are everywhere. Smoking is hazardous but it is not outlawed.

So the same should apply to stools with wheels.

Jacques,

It funny that you mentioned, I do agree with that but as you know wheel and alcohol do not blend very well.

Thanks for writing this! My mom was in assisted living and had a tiny dinette set with wheels on the chairs - much to our dismay we discovered she was using the chairs to stand on to place things up high (above the cupboards where a soffit used to be and it is now a dust catcher...) Thankfully she didn't fall but we got that dinette set out of her place quickly! Marijo (Mary Jo)

People should realize that putting wheels on a bar stool is not safe. Especially a BAR. That is just common sense and will make sure that their insurance rates do not go up due to accidents.

Michael,

I do know that, but when some counsel you to buy stools with wheels, that is not such good idea.
